Pre-Submittal Meeting Information

COVID-19 Updates: 
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the City has closed the Main Street Municipal Building (MSMB) to the public.  We have temporarily cancelled all face-to-face meetings.  

City Departments will continue to review Pre-Submittal applications.  Comments will then be provided to the applicant(s) from the responding departments through the Planning Department. You will be able to communicate directly with the assigned Planner and necessary department staff regarding your proposal.

Pre-Submittal Applications must be submitted electronically via email or fax to (972) 205-2474.

Requirements

A pre-submittal meeting is required for the following development projects:

  • A zoning change
  • Platting
  • New construction or utility connection
  • A land disturbance greater than 5,000 square feet
  • Conversion of a residential structure to a non-residential use

Meetings are conducted by appointment only in the afternoon on Tuesdays and Thursdays. To schedule a Pre-submittal Meeting, please complete the Pre-Submittal Application (PDF).
